The ability to “tell a story” in a compelling manner is a vital component of effective communication. When people are bombarded with information, from an increasing number of sources, making complex ideas accessible and engaging is ever more essential.
As a programme maker and a facilitator, in both my 13 years at The BBC World Service and 11 years as a successful freelancer, I have developed an ability to help others tell their stories in a way that encourages maximum participation, cooperative listening and increased understanding.
With the rise of social media to aide effective communication I have developed film and audio content that takes full advantage of web 2.0. My involvement in social media groups compliments my already considerable experience designing and presenting large, innovative, learning events for a wide range of “blue chip” clients. These clients have successfully supported their organistations through periods of significant change.
